About Paul
Paul is a seasoned IT professional with over 25 years of experience in end-user and consultancy organisations. He possesses an in-depth knowledge of the Logistics and Express transport industry primarily serving customers in the Healthcare, Automotive and Technology sectors. Paul’s earlier career experience was in systems development and implementation in car manufacturing and leasing businesses.
He has managed several large national and international IT functions and delivered multiple projects. These include complex WMS, TMS and OMS projects with his most recent experience being multi-country Oracle Finance ERP programmes (both on-premise and Cloud). Paul has extensive experience of IT outsourcing both in terms of procuring outsource contracts and also their subsequent day-to-day execution. He was also a core member of a bid-team and the subsequent IT leader of a large public sector outsource.
Equally at home in the boardroom or on the shop floor, Paul brings a pragmatic and data driven approach to his work. His aim is always to address business needs and issues through the use of IT rather than being driven by the technology itself. He has an empathetic leadership style that garners respect and high achievement from his teams.
Outside of work, Paul focuses on time with his family and he is also a self-confessed ‘petrolhead’. He has already built one kit car and harbours several plans for future ‘projects’ when time and finances permit.
